where to stay in Sister Bay, Wisconsin - Door County A-frame

We have news! We bought a Door County A-frame.

Rowleys A-frame

Door County Cabin Collective is expanding and we have news! We bought an a-frame in Door County!

Two little-known facts about me: Rowleys Bay is my favorite part of Door County – it’s this cute little protected inlet on the quiet side of the peninsula where you get the breathtaking Lake Michigan views that make you feel like you’re on the ocean in the PNW while still being able to swim, fish, boat the sandy shores in the bay like it’s an inland lake. It just doesn’t get better than that for me.
And I have always dreamed of owning an a-frame. Something about them just screams cozy, snuggled up in front of a fire, ultimate cabin vibes. So, when our friend reached out about selling her A-frame in Rowley’s Bay – I knew it was ours. And it was meant to be.

Rowleys A-frame: The Details

Relax by a fire on the beach, swim in the warm waters of Rowleys Bay, kayak the sandy shore, and wake to the sounds of seagulls and waves. This unique cabin is located on the shores of Lake Michigan in a wooded setting just a short drive to Sister Bay, Wisconsin. Truly the best of both worlds offering inland lake-like swimming, with ocean-like views.

This Door County a-frame is perfect for hostingĀ  2 to 3 families. Enjoy 3 bedrooms each with a queen bed as well as a loft featuring 4 twin trundle beds offering 11 beds total in the cabin. There are 2 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning, fireplace, sheets, towels, wifi, grill, stocked with family games, a washer and dryer, smart tvs, firepit, kayaks, and a sailboat and the best part: dogs welcome — everything you could ever need or want for the perfect Door County getaway.Door County waterfront a-frame on Airbnb

You’ll find shallow swimming and sandy shores for kids and a spacious deck to enjoy watching your kids make memories looking out on one of Door County’s most epic view of Rowleys Bay. Enjoy coffee and a stunning sunrise each morning as you start your day.

Located less than 6 miles from local attractions like Wickman House (our number one favorite restaurant not just in Door County, but anywhere), specialty wood-fired pizza at Wild Tomato, pancakes at Al Johnsons, Peninsula State Park and everything else Sister Bay has to offer (arguably the best Door County town).

Built in 1969, this waterfront a-frame is not short on charm from the wood-burning fireplace, to the lofted a-frame ceiling, there’s just something extra cozy about this cabin you need to experience to understand.

Interesting in securing a reservation? Your best bet is to get on our email list where we’ll be announcing the calendar opening very soon! Get on that list right here.
